Being a journalist, I am bringing you Academy Awards updates and observations throughout the evening LIVE! As they happen!
On my television…
The audience was clearly captivated by the sequence highlighting animation. No one even noticed there wasn’t an Oscar involved. Or a point, really.
This is great, now I don’t have to watch them. And I was worried that I would have to catch the highlights on Facebook!
I know that feeling; I constantly worry about what I might catch from Facebook 😉
I really love these little tidbits of Oscar coverage!
Thanks, Arend — it was a totally spur-of-the-moment idea that I’ll be better prepared for next year.I just wanted to take a run at it before someone from Gravity did.
It would seem you are the first one to crack jokes in the ‘Gravity’ genre. Both Sandra Bullock and Isaac Newton will be/would have been proud of you!
I’d like to say “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,” but I’m not related to either of them. Probably.
There is a point to the Oscars?
Really?
It’s rhetorical.
Why weren’t Taylor Swift and Yoko Ono at last night’s awards?
“A wise man does not question good fortune.”
And no, Yoko Ono didn’t say that.
Neither did Ellen.
Not on camera.
I just realized why Ellen was so fixated on The Wizard of Oz.
And Toto, too.
I’m glad I didn’t watch the Oscars now, this updates are so comprehensive! But I thought they did give an Oscar for animation?
Haha! They did give an Oscar for animation, but the first two segments were very vague and no one seemed to know why the clips were being played. Even Ellen seemed confused. Or maybe she was just hungry.
Hence the pizza?
My thoughts exactly. I know that’s exactly how I get before pizza gets to my house.
